The pet count around here hadn't increased in awhile*, but that changed this weekend. The girls brought a pacific tree frog home from their Friday night sleepover (uh, thanks?). He's really kind of cute. And very entertaining. The girls have rehoused him several times already. He's now safely in a largish aquarium (after a stint in a fish bowl, and a stint in a plastic "travel" aquarium). We tried to find him bugs around the house, but between the chickens and the cats, we're remarkable bug free around here. Dad finally agreed to a trip to the pet store where $0.48 bought enough crickets for a week! *This is just the beginning of the pet onslaught. This weekend is the Pacific Northwest Poultry Show in Stevenson and next weekend Memaw moves in with the Cocker Spaniel (Abby) and a very round grey kitty (MeAnn).
You guys are going to have a full house! We only got the three of us here, our kitty has since left for greener pastures. Didn't realize Memaw was moving in there, automatic babysitter?
ReplyDeleteAfter Kirsten and the girls moved out, the house was just too big for Memaw. She's been trying to sell it since last summer, it finally sold. She'll be moving into the downstairs apartment. The girls will like having her around more, plus it will give us back some flexibility when I have to travel. With just one car, it's sometimes a juggling act around here!
