The winter is making us all a little stir crazy so we took a quick trip up to Seattle last weekend to get away and show the boat to a potential purchaser. The girls hadn't seen it yet, so we brought them along for some urban boat camping. It turned out to be a beautiful day! Here's a picture of the girls on the helm. They thought the boat was pretty cool, but the four of us in the forward berth was a bit of a nightmare!
Now that we aren't Seattlites, we can do all the crazy stuff tourists do, like get our picture taken at the Fremont Troll! A lovely woman researching a Japanese tour guide took this for us. The girls thought this was a great scheme. The rest of the day, Hannah kept asking if we could go back before we left town. Funny was gets in their brains.
Us girls got a little bored watching Don show the boat so we did our best to amuse ourselves. There's a set of stairs and a pedestrian bridge just at the marina so we followed the stairs, which led to another set of stairs, which led to another set of stairs. Apparently, stairs are made for climbing. So we did. Until we made it all the way from Westlake to the radio towers atop Queen Anne hill. It was a grand success when we found a playground at the top. Sort of a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for a couple of young gymnasts.
