Detours

We made it back to Camas without a scratch, and without getting too soaked. Here's a map of where the recommended route home. You can see why we left Seattle early today. If we were forced to use that route, we would have been on the road all day long.

Luckily, we were able to sneak down the Kent valley and caught HW7 about halfway down the evacuation route, crossing our fingers that neither of our friendly neighborhood volcanoes would pick today to erupt. The chickens and cat were happy to see us home on schedule, and we just may be staying put for awhile.
