I caved. I love making Christmas cookies, it's one of the things that means Christmas to me. I'm not sure why, I don't remember making Christmas cookies when I was a kid, but I do remember my Nana making cinnamon rolls and I remember that everyone got their own pan. Anyway, I decided that it didn't matter whether people enjoy getting them, I enjoy making them and giving them and that's what the season's about. Right? So I enlisted the girls' help. Hannah's always game for cookie making, especially if she gets to lick the spoon. And when she heard we were making 4 different kinds, that meant 4 spoons! So we mixed, dropped, rolled, cut and sprinkled all day on Saturday, then we packed wrapped and delivered. Phew, glad to have that out the system! Note to self, mixing red and green sugar together before baking results in a rather unsavory color. Those went to the chickens, who were quite pleased with the idea of Christmas cookies!
