Today's lunch consisted of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a store bought pumpkin chocolate chip cookie. Never mind that there's a fridge FULL of produce, and a freezer full of soups and other yummy things. I guess that's how the week's going to be. Or maybe the month. But that's not really the point of this blog. When I went downstairs to chef up the pbj, I found a beautiful blue jay hanging out in the living room fa
n. We have lots of blue jays here, I think because they are too big for the cats to mess with. I'm still not sure how it got in. I'm sure Puma knows, because I caught her in full attention trying to scheme a way up to the light fixture. The pictures are terrible (I haven't had time to replace the broken camera). I opened the door and carried Puma to the other room so the Jay could escape. Puma was a little unhappy with me. Such a downer since at first she thought I was being helpful and was going to give her the lift she needed! The Jay escaped, unharmed.

Don't you people have screens on the windows? LOL! Glad the bird escaped unharmed. You know, I'll always pick a bird over a cat. Always!
