Adding insult to injury! Poor Hannah. August is almost over. Last week was our last full week of the summer with the girls. It was too wet to go outside and it was "too boring" to stay inside. That means school supply shopping! Something the girls were only mildly excited about to begin with, but it beats whatever other torture we had in mind. Unfortunately, back to school also means crowded aisles at Office Depot. This is one year's school supply shopping Hannah may not soon forget! It was her term to push the cart (something her bossy sister usually insists upon doing), but she can barely see over the top. She ran it aground at full speed, and smacked her lip. Fat lips bleed. Profusely and Immediately. Plus, the added drama of her sister yelling that she must have broken those new teeth led to some loud wailing. Lots of paper towels, some ice, and an evening of Lara Croft Tomb Raider (I just made the puffy lip connection with Lara Croft!) put things back on track. All things considered, especially considering the amount of blood, this was fairly minor mishap and the lip has since faded.
