I have to show you this. Poor Don. This is what he has to put up with. We made a deal early on, I would cook if he would do the dishes. It's really a sweet deal for me. I love to cook. He loves to eat. I do not love to eat his cooking. He's on his own for oatmeal (bleck), fried eggs (he's too picky), and reheating for lunch. But otherwise, I do the cooking. And you've seen the menu plans, I cook almost every day. Dinner. Plus bread. Plus snacks. Plus preserving in the summer and cookies in the winter. Even when I'm not planning to be home for dinner, if Don and the girls are home, I still make dinner and put it in the oven. He bought me an oven that has a delayed start and a cook timer, so all he really has to do is take it out when it's time to eat. But the trade off is the dishes. And we don't have a dish washer. And I cook like I have a dish washer. So here's the daily scene in our kitchen, sometimes even higher. And if he skips a day, yikes!
Those seriously look like they are going to topple over;) Don better get to work
ReplyDeleteJason, too, is happy to wash if I cook. But, lucky for all of us, we have a dishwasher and small kids to load/ unload.
