This was my Saturday to volunteer as market manager at the Farmer's Market. The weather was perfect for it. The girls were a great help until they went for their mom time. The crowds were decent, if not great. And there were enough vendors. This week was the first time we've seen tomatoes, plus a special treat--fava beans! They are a pain but still one of my favorites and I almost never see them here. The problem with market manager weeks is that 7 hours at the market WEARS me out! I'm such a baby. 7 hours, outside, on my feet, talking to people, dealing with problems, ish. Plus, it was kind of hot. And tearing down tents after and packing boxes, listen to me whine. I was going to come home and make pickles. HA! I watched a movie, shelled two pounds of fava beans, caught up on some reading, took a nap, I got up a few times but could never muster the strength for more than 10 minutes. No pickles today. I did get caught on my blog reading. That's where I came across this meme. I almost never follow up with a meme but this one was too pretty. The concept: a.
