A part of Hannah's challenges this gymnastics season has been keeping her knees strong. The three inches she grew from November to March really put a strain on the tendons in her leg. Add to that a slightly off center knee cap and all the hours in the gym and she really had it bad for awhile. Then we found the fantastic physical therapist at Majerus Physical Therapy. We've been going twice a week for about the last month and it has really helped. Part of the treatment is this crazy electrical device that targets anti-inflammatory medicines right into her knee where they are needed. That solves SO many problems--the liquid versions smell and taste bad, the pill versions are hard to swallow, and the dad is a freak about chemicals anyway. But it means sitting for 15 minutes with these crazy patches. She's a trouper though, she just toughs it out. As long as she knows we're stopping for ice cream next door after we leave!
