Giving Thanks!
We survived! There are never enough pictures of such an event. We had a wonderful crowd for Thanksgiving. I spent all of Wednesday getting ready, with Karen as morale support from Billings by speaker phone until Mom arrived as reinforcement (and dishwasher, yeah mom!). We loaded the Turkey in the roaster at 7am on Thursday (I am SOSOSOSOSO NOT a morning person), then spent the morning packing up to move the event to our friend Sagat's. After that, it's all a blur. In recognition of everyone who helped: thank you Don, for the four trips you made back to the house for everything I forgot; thank you Jennifer, for keeping everyone out of the kitchen in the last flurry to get to the table; thank you Kirsten and Randy, for taking over the Turkey gravy; thank you Ken, for carving the beast; thank you Earl, for supplying the salmon and for deboning it later; thank you Rosanna, for dish duty; thank you mom, for peeling the eggs (I know you hate that) for coming and for slipping me the cocktail; thank you Sagat, for the perfect house to hold such an event; and thank you everyone who came, for your patience when the turkey was late, for being a part of our gathering, and for the great desserts.
